R.O.K 4 Que

Scholarship

In loving memory of Quemonte Marcel Leonard, the son of our Executive Director, Dr. Robin R. Simmons, Raising Our Kids INC proudly presents R.O.K 4 Que—a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable individual whose life was tragically cut short. Quemonte, aged 28, was more than just a beloved son; he was a devoted father to Aubrianna and a rapidly emerging entrepreneur.

Quemonte's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as he proudly owned and managed four businesses: a car lot, a towing company, a wrecking yard, and a rental car business. Additionally, he excelled as an athlete, participating in football and wrestling as a student at Bedford Hts. High School in Bedford, Ohio.

To honor Quemonte's legacy and passion for entrepreneurship and athleticism, Raising Our Kids INC has established the R.O.K 4 Que scholarship fund. This fund aims to support young entrepreneurs, student athletes in need of equipment, and students pursuing vocational education at trade schools.

Quemonte's life was tragically taken from us on July 8, 2022, in a senseless act of violence. Despite the unimaginable pain of his loss, we find solace in the belief that his spirit continues to inspire positive change. It's a testament to his character that even in tragedy, Quemonte's legacy lives on through the opportunities his memory creates for others.

Reflecting on the circumstances of Quemonte's passing, we acknowledge the potential ripple effects of support and guidance. Perhaps, had the intruder's parents known where to turn for assistance, tragedy could have been averted, and a different path forged. Raising Our Kids INC stands as a beacon of hope, extending support to all families in need, regardless of circumstance or background.

As we honor Quemonte's memory, let us embrace the spirit of R.O.K—Raising Our Kids—together rearing, uplifting and empowering one another to create a brighter future for all.
